Containment
Containment describes the process of containing a biological agent (medicinal agent, pathogenic factor) or any other substance inside a defined space. The definition "Total Containment“ is used in the pharmaceutical industry to protect man and the environment and to avoid cross contamination.
OEB/OEL
The OEB value (1,2,3,4,5) relates to the toxicology of the substance itself. The aim is to classify systems in order to select production units and processes that are optimally suited to a product. OEL defines the average concentration load (µg/m³) produced by an active substance measured for 8 hours within the workers' breathing range.
